The Alluaudia procera is a long stem succulent from Madagascar. It is covered with pairs of small round leaves, and sharp spikes. A real collectors plant. In the winter months this plant usually loses its leaves which regrow in summer. This plant is threatened in its native Madagascar.Â
From spring onwards water cacti and succulents freely, allowing excess water to drain away. The soil should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings. Full Sun.Â
Several lemur species feed heavily on Alluaudia in its native Madagascar!
